Farm History

Click to enlargeThe English elegance of the 17th Century Broadwell Farm is still evident in the timelessly decorated house. The house still retains its exterior charm, while bringing a new modern feel to the interior.

The Cotswolds has a fascinating history. The first Neolithic visitors came to the Cotswolds at about 3500BC. There are great monuments to the way of life over the area and these consist mainly of the many long barrows, the burial tombs of which there is evidence of about seventy in Gloucestershire, and monuments left behind from the Iron ages can be seen from afar.

The area around Broadwell has existed for many centuries, through the Neolithic Ages, to the age of The Saxons, and all these previous civilizations are present throughout the area, including the Rollright Stones, and many more evident pieces of history.
